The image shows part of a vacuum evaporator system we have recently been contracted to work on. As well as providing all stainless valves we have selected and sourced appropriate process flow metering equipment and worked with the client to integrate this with their system control software.
This system is due to come on stream in late 2014 to early 2015.

Some of our installations need to handle hot steam or extremely cold nitrogen gas – for this we need to specify insulated pipework and controls that can stand up to the extremes of temperature and (sometimes) pressure. The picture shows part of a recently completed installation for cryogenic hardening (the heat treatment of metals, primarily, using cryogenic gases and liquids, like liquid nitrogen, LN2.)

The picture shows part of a recently completed installation for one of our longest standing clients. For this system we needed to design custom buffer volumes and integrate these with existing process tanking. The new items (painted green) needed to avoid the existing pressure gauge, which they do by wrapping around it.

Part of the heating control system we recently installed at a factory in yorkshire – this controls the temperature in a number of different manufacturing and storage facilities, each with their own temperature control requirements
Space was tight in the boiler room so we needed to design around existing pipework (the grey pipes behind) which could not be altered.

The right selection of and control of welding gases has a big impact on the local oxidation that otherwise is created by a variety of welding processes. Lately we’ve been working with a number of specialist welding companies to develop custom welding gear that allows them to achieve reproducible gas handling and supply conditions thereby providing optimal welding conditions every time.
Please contact us to find out how we can help improve your metal processing capabilities.

Often finding just the right fitting can be a long and drawn out task – when this gauge failed on one of customer’s systems they struggled to find a replacement that would meet their requirements, for this and other systems.
We were able to assist by having a custom bourdon tube gauge made up, with a custom fitting to mate to their existing pipework.

Freeze-drying works by freezing the material and then reducing the surrounding pressure to allow the frozen water in the material to sublime directly from the solid phase to the gas phase.
Freeze-dried substances may be stored at room temperature without refrigeration if the material is sealed to prevent the reabsorption of moisture as the greatly reduced water content inhibits the action of microorganisms and enzymes that would normally spoil or degrade the substance.
The picture shows a freeze drier that we have recently supplied process control components for.
